Transbay Transit Center Project - Tour + Reception

Tour will involve a presentation at the Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) office, and then a perimeter tour of the site.  Afterwards, we walk over to the Haworth showroom for our Post-tour Reception.

The Transbay Transit Center Project will centralize the region's transportation network by making transit connections between all points in the Bay Area fast and convenient for more than 100,000
passengers per day. The project will replace the former bus terminal with a new multi-model transportation center - the "Grand
Central Station of the West.” The new Transit Center will make public transit as convenient as it is in the other world-class
cities and return San Francisco to a culture of mass transit.

The Transbay Transit Center in downtown San Francisco will transform transportation in California and stimulate the economy.
As the largest public transportation project under construction in the Western US, the Center will connect 8 counties of the Bay Area through 11 transit systems: AC Transit, Amtrak, BART, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit, Greyhound, MUNI, SamTrans,
WestCAT Lynx, Paratransit and future High Speed Rail from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

ATTIRE:  Business Casual.  NOTE:  Tour requires close-toe, sturdy shoes.  Hard hats, if needed, to be provided by TJPA

PARKING: on-street or nearby garages: 1 Market St and Rincon Center


COST for Tour + Reception:

Early Bird (expires end of Friday, Nov 14, 2014): Members - $20; Non-members and guests - $30

Regular Price:  Members - $25; Non-members and guests - $35
